Overview:
Highly available enterprise class storage, built with enterprise class hardware and an option to mix and match SAS and SATA drives within the same chassis. The 12S (2U, 12-bay) and 16S (3U, 16-bay) are available as both RAID headers are expandable through the use of JBODs eliminating the additional of costly RAID controllers. Host interfaces for the RAID header consist of four (4) quad lane 3Gbit SAS offering 12Gbit of throughput per SAS connection.
Scalability
The SecurStor Astra ES was designed with modular capabilities. The SecurStor Astra ES can support up to four JBODs and is field upgradable from single to dual controllers allowing for dual pathing to prevent a single controller or path failure from bringing down your storage. The solution offers a maximum capacity up to 160TB per head unit with the optional JBODs attached and utilizing 2TB disks.
