Overview
The SecurStor XRS supports RAID 1 (mirror), RAID 5 (distributed parity), or RAID 6 (dual distributed parity). RAID 6 offers the highest level of data protection. By using a dual parity design the XRS can sustain two drive failures in the same array without incurring any downtime or data loss. As data is written to the array, the XRS generates a dual parity checksum and distributes that information along with the original data across all members of the array. The end result: Dependability you can count on.
